Pike Catches Page 9
Friday 17th January 2020 (D-Day)
Dave joined Trev for a day on the river after what turned out to be The Elusive Pike Day, Due to the river having been in flood for a few days and the river still in a muddy fast flowing state no Pike showed up and this must be recorded as the worst conditions for the capture of the species.
But Tim and Trev are coming back next week to try again when the river returns to normal, so wish them luck.

At long last the river at Sudbury is back to normal levels after the recent flood water, Tim & Trev decided to see if the pike were on the feed again after a poor session last week, we boated a total of 17 Pike including a few Doubles the best went to Trev at 14lbs-6oz caught on a small Sardine, the weather was kind to us although it was a cloudy day it kept dry. Next week we intend to fish a lake at Chelmsford.

Today Trev & Tim visited a local mere in search of the sometimes elusive Pike from a Prolific Carp water. First cast Tim hooked up and landed one of the better specimens at 14lbs (well done Tim) you deserved it, it turned out to be the only fish of the day, hope to be back on the river at Sudbury next week.
Thursday 6th February 2020
With the weather forecast almost perfect Trev & Tim decided that a trip on Piker1 was the best place to be, the decision was right and Tim started the ball rolling with a decent size Pike the first cast, the day just got better & better with a total of 16 Pike boated with a fish of 14lbs-4oz to Trev & some other doubles to both anglers.
